An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Neurological inpatient Therapies team at Barnet Hospital as a Therapy Support Worker. This is a 12 month fixed term post.

We are looking for an individual who demonstrates an energetic, enthusiastic and flexible approach to their work. You must have good organisational skills and be motivated to provide excellent care to patients to help them achieve their maximum functional ability.  Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team are essential for this position.

The successful applicant will join our experienced therapy team, working alongside occupational therapists, physiotherapists and the wider multidisciplinary team. The ethos of the service is patient centred care and enabling service users to reach their potential. You will play a key role in supporting the rehabilitation of patients with stroke and other neurological conditions from the acute stage of their care through to discharge.

### Main duties of the job

As a band 3 Therapy Support Worker, your role will include:

assisting Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists with joint rehabilitation sessions assisting and progressing exercise programmes supporting functional tasks + activities to promote independence with personal care (washing / dressing / cooking / feeding) upper limb rehabilitation cognitive rehabilitation mobility rehabilitation supporting group activities maintaining therapy resources and equipment collecting information from patients and families
