### Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and reliable Booking Coordinator to join the Neuroendocrine Tumour (NET) service within Liver Services at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. This Band 2 role will support the coordination and booking of patient appointments and procedures, playing a key part in ensuring patients receive timely and efficient care.

The successful candidate will be responsible for booking appointments in line with clinical priority and NHS waiting time targets, maintaining accurate patient records, and liaising with clinical teams to support effective service delivery. Acting as a point of contact for patients and staff, the postholder will handle enquiries in a professional and courteous manner while ensuring all administrative processes are completed to a high standard.

This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a busy administrative environment, contributing to the smooth running of the NET service and the delivery of high-quality patient care.

The role includes liaising closely with clinical teams to ensure clinics are appropriately organised, contacting patients to confirm or rearrange appointments, and updating patient administration systems accurately. The postholder will also manage appointment queries, cancellations, and DNA outcomes, ensuring all activity is recorded and actioned promptly to support efficient patient flow and high standards of service delivery.

### Experience

- * Experience of working with a range of Microsoft Office packages (eg. Word,Excel and Outlook)
