You will join a kind, collaborative and high‑performing hand therapy service providing specialist assessment and rehabilitation for patients with trauma, elective, rheumatology and emergency presentations. Working across a diverse east London population, you will use advanced clinical reasoning, evidence‑based practice and clear communication to deliver high‑quality care. As a dual‑profession role, we welcome both Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists who are confident working autonomously, able to manage complex caseloads, and committed to maintaining high professional standards. Our team values clarity, compassion and shared learning, and we are looking for someone who contributes positively to a supportive and inclusive team culture.

### Main duties of the job

You will independently assess and treat a varied caseload of upper‑limb conditions, including complex trauma, using advanced clinical reasoning and a wide range of therapeutic modalities. Duties include fabricating and prescribing splints, delivering patient education, evaluating progress, and adapting treatment plans to optimise rehabilitation outcomes. You will supervise junior staff and students, contribute to service development, participate in audit and quality improvement, and represent hand therapy within multidisciplinary meetings. The role requires excellent communication skills, safe and competent use of therapeutic equipment, accurate record‑keeping, and adherence to RCOT/CSP and Trust standards. You will also support operational management when required and help maintain a positive, respectful and evidence‑driven team environment.
