HomeFirst is an exciting initiative using multi-agency collaboration to provide enhanced, recovery-focused support in the community for those living with complex mental health difficulties, that often lead to admission to acute hospital.

As our Band 6 Occupational Therapist, you will deliver high quality and evidence based occupational therapy assessments, interventions and consultations to enable people who access services to reach their full potential.

### Main duties of the job

Leadership:

- To participate to service development and audits
- To provide mentoring/supervision to support workers/associate practitioners/activity coordinators
- To represent occupational therapy within the multi-disciplinary team
- To advocate and promote occupational therapy within the Trust

Clinical:

- To demonstrate occupational therapy skills in areas such as occupational identity and competency, occupational engagement, environmental adaptation, volition, development and maintenance of occupational skills.
- To contribute to the evaluation the effectiveness of occupational therapy interventions.
- To keep up to date with current evidence-based practice, research and National guidelines within your clinical area.

### Experience

**Essential**

- Knowledge of occupational frames of reference and approaches
- Knowledge of relevant assessment and treatment models

**Desirable**

- Experience of supporting students on placement

### Qualifications

- HCPC Registration
- Occupational Therapy professional qualification
