### Job overview

Woking Community Mental Health Recovery Service (CMHRS) is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic community mental health nurse (CPN) to join our team.

The team is moving through a transition to an All-Age Neighbouhood Mental Health Team to provide more joined up mental health care for our community.

As part of our multi-disciplinary team, the successful applicant will deliver comprehensive assessments and a variety of approaches, interventions, and treatments to individuals experiencing severe and enduring mental health issues, supporting them in their personal recovery journey.

Candidates must have a full driving license and a car to use for work.

### Main duties of the job

You will be required to take lead and professional responsibility for a number of service users. This role demands excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. You must be committed to delivering a high-quality service, working both independently and as part of our well-established, innovative, and recovery-focused team to meet the needs of service users and their carers.

In addition to managing a defined caseload, the successful applicant will conduct initial assessments for clients referred to the service and support individuals experiencing mental health crises in the community. There are various training opportunities available to enhance skills in delivering low-intensity psychological interventions.

### Applicant requirements

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

## Person Specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- 2 years post qualification experience working with individuals with mental health needs

**Desirable**

- Able to carry out supervision
- Able to co-facilitate group work
- 12 months experience working in a community mental health setting

### Registration

**Essential**

- NMC Registration

**Desirable**

- Successful completion of Mentorship course
- Diploma in psycho-social interventions, or similar post registration qualification relevant to the post
