We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team and contribute to delivering high-quality psychological care. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking to develop their clinical and research skills under the supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist. In this role, you will support the assessment, formulation and delivery of evidence-based psychological interventions to individuals across a range of services. Working both independently and collaboratively within agreed care plans, you will play a key role in enhancing service users’ quality of life through person-centred, holistic care. You will engage directly with individuals, their families and carers, ensuring dignity, respect and inclusivity are upheld at all times. The post also offers valuable experience in service development, including contributing to audits, data collection, outcome measurement and research projects. You will be involved in maintaining accurate clinical records, supporting risk assessments and participating in quality improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for a psychology graduate with a strong interest in clinical practice, research and service improvement, who is committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care and developing a career within psychological services.

To carry out comprehensive assessments, plan implement and evaluate delivery of psychology interventions under the supervision of a psychologist as part of a holistic approach working in a variety of settings.

To actively work with people who use services, carers, families and staff in implementing the care plan devised by the psychologist.

To act as an advocate and ensure that there is proper regard for peoples’ dignity, choice, self-esteem, racial, cultural, sexual and religious needs and preferences.

To take appropriate and immediate action to keep people safe in a crisis or safeguarding situation, reporting back to a senior colleague in a timely manner.

To observe and document any changes in wellbeing of the people that they are supporting, reporting to the professional or team manager any new or change in risk or presentation of the person, and updating risk assessments as required.

To work in partnership with people in other health and social care settings.

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience of working in relevant area, either voluntary or paid
- Experience of working collaboratively with others

### Qualifications

- Psychology degree accredited by BPS at 2.1 or above Psychology degree accredited by BPS at 2.2 and additional relevant Masters qualification OR Degree plus Masters level conversion qualification accredited by BPS
