### Job overview

A permanent vacancy has arisen within the Audiology Service for an Audiologist to assist in the provision of a high quality Audiology service to the population of North Wales served by BCUHB. The post holder will perform duties within the Adult Audiology service as described in the job description.

The post will be based at Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

This is an ideal opportunity to further develop clinical and service development skills in a supportive and progressive environment.

Applicants should meet the essential qualifications and registration requirements for an Audiologist position.

### Main duties of the job

The role will be performed in outpatient, domiciliary and/or in-patient settings across the area served by BCUHB.

There will be responsibility to train and supervise other clinical staff where appropriate.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

### Experience

- Recent experience of assessment of communication needs including hearing status
- Recent experience in adult hearing aid fitting and verification

### Qualifications

- BSC Audiology or BSc plus BAAT Part I&II, or equivalent
- Registered with RCCP, AHCS, HCPC CS, or working towards registration with HCPC as Clinical Scientist

- Able to demonstrate empathy to patients
- Reliability and punctuality
- Flexibility over location/pattern of work. E.g willing to travel to peripheral clinics
