### Job summary

An opportunity has arisen to join our award winning team. Our goal is to find an enthusiastic Audiologist to complement our friendly, dynamic, forward-thinking multi-disciplinary team. We offer a full range of adult and paediatric audiology, including newborn screening, implantable devices, balance, tinnitus, hearing therapy and have an integrated, specialist ear care Nursing team. Duties will primarily include the assessment and rehabilitation of adults and may include assessment of older children dependent upon experience. The role offers the opportunity to build on experience with opportunities to receive further training within specialist areas. The main duties are to provide direct Patient care for adult audiology Patients. The post holder will work autonomously, performing routine assessments and be able to undertake routine aspects of rehabilitative audiology including REMs to ensure quality of hearing aid fitting. The post holder shall understand the needs of the role being to communicate in a sensitive, caring and clear way and working under pressure working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will be asked to support colleagues. The post holder should practice in a caring, family friendly and holistic manner, helping to produce individualised management plans. The ideal candidate will be friendly, approachable, have excellent communication skills, contribute to service development and be willing to support the leadership team.

Dependent upon experience, the main duties of the successful Audiologist is to provide excellent direct audiology Patient care for adult populations. The post holder will work autonomously and perform routine audiological assessments and be competent in routine provision of rehabilitative audiology. The post holder shall understand that communicating with service users in a sensitive and clear way and working under pressure along with being able to work as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team will be part of the role. The post holder will be asked to work supporting colleagues and may include student mentorship. The post holder should practice in a caring and holistic manner, helping to produce individualised management plans. The ideal candidate will be friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude to service development and be willing to support the leadership team. They will strive to continue providing a family-friendly service.
