The Audiology service in Swansea Bay University Health Board (SBU HB) is looking for an Audiologist to be a key member of the Primary Care Audiology or Hospital Based Audiology team. The Audiology service in SBU HB provides hearing and balance assessment, advice and management to adult and paediatric patients in primary, community and hospital settings across the area. ### Main duties of the job The postholder may be expected to perform audiological investigations, create individual patient management plans, take aural impressions and prescribe hearing aid systems using real ear measurements. Dependent on experience they may be asked to perform routine ear care and micro-suction wax removal. They may also be expected to carry out domiciliary visits to housebound patients and visit patients on hospital wards to carry out hearing aid maintenance and support trainees within the service. The location of the shifts and duties will be dependent on service need.
