With the growth and development of our Urgent and Emergency Care offering, this is an exciting time to join our team as Associate Director of Nursing - Urgent and Emergency Care.

This senior nursing leadership role will be responsible for shaping the strategic, professional and operational leadership of Urgent and Emergency Care services (ED, SDEC & UTC) and for contributing to the wider professional nursing leadership, quality governance and workforce agenda across the Medicine Division and Trust.

Collaborative working with the Clinical Director, General Manager, Divisional Chief Nurse, operational teams and system partners, you'll be a key to the development of integrated urgent and emergency care pathways, ensuring patients receive timely assessment, treatment and onward care within clinically appropriate timescales.

Success will require role modelling of visible, compassionate and effective leadership; supporting and coaching colleagues to do the same.

Expert knowledge and extensive prior experience of emergency care quality indicators, operational performance metrics, workforce productivity, patient safety measures and national urgent and emergency care standards, will be key to leading and being accountable for continuous improvement initiatives that contribute to safe and sustainable delivery of the NHS Constitutional Standards.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
