They will create an environment, which promotes and supports patient safety and high-quality care. The role is responsible for the management of quality, and patient safety across the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust. This encompasses clinical effectiveness, and incident management, learning from incidents and compliance. The post holder is overall accountable for all the services provided by the Patient Safety Team, & Tissue Viability Team. Associate Director of Nursing will provide strategic direction to the Trusts patient safety providing expert advice and guidance throughout the Trust. The post holder will lead and deliver on a range of patient safety & quality projects and contributing to the wider Trust Quality Strategy, Risk Strategy and compliance with the Care Quality Commissions standards. Advise the Trust Board of any risk, patient safety concerns which would have the potential to impact on CQC compliance requirements. The role is responsible for direct management of the Safety, Datix, Tissue Viability, Team. ### Main duties of the job The Associate Director of Nursing will provide organisational wide leadership in shaping the on going direction of the patient safety strategy.
