### Job overview

This is a development post starting at a Band 6 then progressing to a Band 7.

To undertake the role of Assistant CAFM Manager for Building Engineering Maintenance department, with day-to-day responsibility and accountability for management, development, co-ordination and support of the Building Engineering Maintenance data, in particular in relation to:

Building, engineering & maintenance Asset Management Building, engineering & maintenance condition appraisal management Computer aided facilities management data (CAFM) Annual data collection pertaining to the premises assurance model (PAM) Assist with the development of internal service development and policy creation. Overall responsibility for these will fall to the Senior Asset & Performance Manager.

Act as main point of contact for all building, engineering & maintenance related data and information management.

Assist with managing the works relating to building, engineering & maintenance related data and information collection and development of process and procedures.

### Main duties of the job

To ensure the effective day-to-day management of all directly employed staff under the post holder’s control this includes 1x Band 5 Engineering Support Officer, 2x Band 4 Assistant Engineering Support Officers and 1x Band 3 Receptionist. To be fully aware of and routinely implement performance management processes as appropriate and to promote the Trusts Values of Safe, Kind, and Excellent”. In conjunction with the Estates Business Services team assist with the system software upgrades and additions if required; Fault finding; regular system back-up; Provide appropriate training for staff on systems and the effective use of the following modules: a) Planned and reactive maintenance programme. b) Work orders / help desk module. c) Service contracts module. d) Asbestos management module. Help produce compliance reports for estates and committees on the status of maintenance inspections and remedial works from statutory and mandatory compliance items from the report which is issued quarterly and updated monthly. Assist with PPM creation, assignment, scheduling, lifecycle management, and workflow visibility. Validate asset information received from in-house engineers, contractors, and external sources, ensuring quality before entry. Provide & receive complex asset information; negotiating with all stakeholders to ensure that all statutory requirements are met both in terms of the scheduling of maintenance and the completion of maintenance tasks.
