### Job summary

HIOWH perinatal community mental health team have a vacancy for a Band 5 assistant psychologist. The assistant psychology post holder will be responsible for helping the team implement key audit projects including service outcome evaluation, service user involvement and clinical care pathways. The post holder will also support the delivery of mental health workshops and therapy groups.

You will be joining the established HIOWH perinatal community mental health team and perinatal psychology service which is a thriving, research-active team with links to Southampton and Bristol University, including the doctoral programme in clinical psychology and the diploma/certificate in CBT. The post holder will be line managed by a senior clinical psychologist and receive clinical supervision within the perinatal psychology team.

We are looking for those with an interest in working with people with mental health challenges, within a recovery-oriented framework and who enjoys working closely, day-to-day with multi-disciplinary colleagues.

A good quality psychology degree, skills in collating data, managing data bases and statistics are essential.

### Main duties of the job

The Assistant Psychologist will be required to support and enhance the delivery of psychological assessment and interventions within the Perinatal Mental Health Service. The post holder will work under the direct supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist, independently according to a plan agreed with a qualified psychologist and within the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures. To assist in clinically related administration, outcome measurement and the development of audit and/or research projects across the service.

- An upper second class honours degree or higher in psychology.
