Providing interventions under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist. You will have opportunities to work closely with other multidisciplinary teams in the community, primary care, the acute neuro rehab team, and other external agencies. There is an in-service training programme in place and an intensive Trust and Local induction will be provided. The post is within a multidisciplinary team and you will work alongside Neuro Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Nurses and Rehab Assistants. The post will be based in the North of the county with your base being City Care Centre – Peterborough, Doddington Community Hospital, Princess of Wales – Ely or North Cambs Hospital - Wisbech however there maybe times where they are expected to cover further across the county. The successful candidate will work in an agile manner using virtual consultation to manage their caseload of patients, having access to a smart phone and laptop to support this. ### Main duties of the job Please note for this job you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Band 5 Assistant psychologist within Neuro Psychology to support the delivery of Neuro Psychology rehab as in-reach to the inpatient rehab beds, as well as working with patients in their own homes within the Early supported Discharge for Stroke and Community Neuro Rehab team for a 12 month fixed term contract.  You will play a vital part in supporting patients with cognitive and psychosocial challenges as part of a MDT to achieve their potential whilst instigating and delivering better health, better care and better outcomes for our patients.
