The post holder will support the Consultant Psychologist and psychology team members, as well as working with the wider multi-disciplinary team. The Cleft Lip and Palate service is based in Morriston, Swansea. Clinics are also held in Cardiff. The Assistant Psychologist will be required to work in both settings and be able to travel between Swansea and Cardiff in the course of the day. The post holder will also be able to visit patients in their home or school, as required. ### Main duties of the job The principal duties of the Assistant Psychologist will include collecting and inputting audit data from children, carers and adults, setting up and maintaining databases, analysing data and contributing to research, audit, training, consultation and dissemination of psychosocial information. In addition, under the supervision of the Consultant Clinical Psychologist and other members of the Cleft Psychology Service, the Assistant Psychologist will contribute to the provision of a clinical service for people with cleft lip and palate. This will include contributing to multi-disciplinary clinics as well as direct psychological interventions.
