We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated psychology graduate who is keen to gain experience in order to progress towards applied training in clinical psychology. The post has a focus of assisting in the delivery of an audit and evaluation of young people who present to A & E in a crisis in the Bromley Borough. The postholder will assist in clinically related administration, completion of audits, collection and analysis of data and statistics, completion of audit/ evaluation and/or research projects, presentation development, teaching and project work under the close supervision of a Clinical Psychologist and working closely with the local Lead Consultant Psychologist. ### Main duties of the job Bromley CAMHS is a friendly, award winning and thriving team, regarded as an accessible and effective service. The role involves capturing clinical data for the purpose of audit and evaluation. The successful candidate will require good IT skills and knowledge of Excel and SPSS for analytical purposes. They will be able to work to meet deadlines and to produce high quality reports and presentations to share findings with a wide multidisciplinary group of professionals, including local commissioners. The successful candidate will be reliable and will require excellent communication skills. An interest in working with children and young people is desirable. The post will be supervised by a Clinical Psychologist. ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities - To assist in data collection, analysis and interpretation. - To support project work, working to deadlines. - To have a high level of proficiency in IT (including Excel and Powerpoint) - To follow Oxleas trust policy and protocol in relation to Evaluation, Audit and Research - To make theory and practice links in regard to the project work, linking to research and evidence-based practice or national guidance - To frequently exercise mental effort daily - To create graphs, presentations or charts to summarise data to ensure accessible dissemination of the project to a variety of multi-agency professional audiences. - To work closely with supervisor and lead consultant clinical psychologist. ## Person Specification ### Skills **Essential** - High level communication skills (written and verbal) including an ability to communicate effectively. - Ability to manage workload and work independently, reliably and consistently with work agreed and managed at regular intervals. - Ability to manage emotional circumstances and distressed states of young people. - Ability to engage in the supervision process as indicated by the BPS ### Experience **Essential** - Experience working within a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service Team - Experience of contributing to audit and service evaluation in a CAMHS setting **Desirable** - Further post-graduate experience in relevant areas of professional psychology, mental health practice and/or research design and analysis. ### Qualifications **Essential** - An honours degree in psychology.
