### Job overview

The post holder will support the effective administrative management of patient pathways across the relevant CBU (i.e. outpatient and elective services). Working as a part of a multi-disciplinary team, they will ensure high levels of patient and clinician satisfaction by being an accessible, customer focussed and knowledgeable point of contact.

The post holder will act as a key administrative contact for patients and staff, supporting accurate data entry, coordination of appointments, and proactive tracking of RTT pathways. They will follow Standard Operating Procedures and work closely with clinical and administrative colleagues to ensure high-quality, patient-centred service delivery.

### Main duties of the job

Elective Admission Support

- Support coordination of tests, investigations and communication with wards and theatres.
- Provide non-clinical information to patients regarding their admission.

Administrative and Communication Duties

- Maintain accurate patient data on Trust systems including EPR and specialty databases.
- Prepare, send and track appointment outcome letters to patients and their GP.
- Answer queries from patients, carers, clinical staff and external partners promptly and professionally.
- Ensure health records are available, tracked and filed according to Information Governance standards.
- Support service with administrative tasks such as scanning, data entry, and clinic preparation where appropriate.
- Track and update validation comments and actions in the appropriate software / systems to ensure accuracy of live data and visibility cross the Trust (including CCS, Millennium etc)

Customer Service

- Provide a friendly, accessible and patient- focused service, ensuring patients feed supported during their care.

Arrange interpreters and transport as required, following Trust procedures
