The post holder will take lead responsibility for the financial planning and budgeting for two large strategic programmes within the Trust, the New Hospital Programme and RAAC management, ensuring all appropriate internal and external stakeholders are provided with high quality financial advice and that relevant business systems and processes are efficient, effective and client focussed. ### Main duties of the job Reporting to the Deputy Director of Finance, the role is responsible for the development of the financial cases as part of a series of business cases to support the programmes of work, preparing the associated financial modelling templates, analysis and reconciliations to economic modelling, and engaging with external advisors to support production of the overarching Full Business Case for the New Hospital Programme. The role will also offer senior financial support to the Trust’s strategic development plans, giving assurances regarding the financial validity of proposals. The postholder will also put in place appropriate systems and processes to manage project budgets within the approved financial envelope, ensuring timely and accurate reporting within the governance structure. The role will liaise with NHS England regarding business case development, oversee completion of any ad hoc financial returns and forecasts associated with strategic programmes.  Extensive stakeholder engagement and partnership working with subject matter experts inside and outside the Trust.
