### Job overview

The Assistant Administrator Apprentice role is an important member of our Learning and Workforce Development team at Bristol NHS Group. You will work alongside others within the team and our clinicians in practice to help develop a workforce with the skills, knowledge, and competencies necessary to deliver effective and safe patient care and to enhance the quality of service delivery. The administration team will work across a diverse range of workstreams across the clinical, medical, and non-clinical environments. Administrators will be flexible in supporting a range of different workstreams and workload requests. This role is ideal for anyone interested in developing a career in Education, Libraries, or Administration.

### Main duties of the job

The administration team plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the Learning and Development department, engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Each assistant administrator represents the department's outward face, making strong customer service skills essential for delivering high-quality Learning and Development services. Also vital will be a firm grasp of Microsoft tools, and a keenness to develop.

The Customer Service Practitioner apprenticeship is a 12-15 month learning programme consisting of:

- 12-month training and support to develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours to gain a Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner qualification.
- We are a registered training provider here at Bristol NHS Foundation Trust and as such your learning is delivered in a blended model both online and at our Learning and Research centre on our Southmead campus.
- Monthly assignments, skills assessments and 1:1 support with a dedicated tutor/assessor
- Workplace mentor to support you to put your learning into practice.
- End Point Assessment delivered by Innovate Awarding – graded Pass or Distinction
- Potential for progression into a permanent role upon completion of your apprenticeship

Please note to be eligible for the apprenticeship you must be:

- Over the age of 16
- Have lived in the UK/EEA for the past 3 years.
- Have the right to work and reside in the UK.
- Not be currently working towards any other government funded training programme.
- Not hold a qualification in the same subject area at the same level or higher
- Hold GCSE Maths and English at minimum of Grade C/4 (for Business Administrator) or E/2 for (Customer Service Practitioner) delete as appropriate

### Skills

**Essential**

- Clear and polite written and verbal communication skills
- Basic IT skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and enter data accurately
- Ability to follow instructions and standard procedures
- Ability to organise simple tasks and meet deadlines with guidance

**Desirable**

- Awareness of confidentiality and data protection

### Education

**Essential**

- GCSE grade 5 (C) or above in English and maths
- Willingness to undertake training relevant to the role

**Desirable**

- Evidence of personal development

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience in providing customer service
- Experience using basic electronic systems for data entry

**Desirable**

- Experience in an administrative or clerical role
