If you have experience of caring for people with proven customer care and communication skills with the public, then we would like to hear from you! A good sense of humour and local knowledge of the area you are applying to work in will also be an advantage. Bedford base location - covering the North Bedfordshire area. ### Main duties of the job The role of the Ambulance Care Assistant involves the transportation of non-urgent patients to and from health/social care premises and private residences. This is a responsible role which requires a professional and caring attitude, as well as teamwork. You will work in a team of two, or on your own, undertaking duties in a variety of vehicle types. You need a full UK manual car driving licence, with at least one years driving experience and a maximum of 6 points for SP30 driving offences. Your role with EEAST PTS would start with a 3 week paid training course (Monday – Friday). The training involves clinical training to be a ‘First Person on Scene’, patient transport driver training. The first 2 weeks training will be held in Welwyn Garden City. Driver Training location will be advised.
