The post holder will work as part of the Workshop Team and will be responsible for the repair, reconfiguration, and reconditioning of wheelchair equipment. We are seeking two individuals who are self-motivated, well organised, and able to work effectively as part of a team. The successful candidates will be patient-focused, ensuring a high-quality service is delivered to service users at all times. Essential requirements include knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, along with experience in the safe use of tools and equipment. Candidates must also have experience of working within a mechanical engineering environment and the ability to carry out routine maintenance, repairs, reconfiguration, and reconditioning tasks. A relevant trade qualification is desirable, along with a sound understanding of workshop procedures and safe working practices. The role is physically demanding; therefore, candidates must be fit and capable of lifting and manoeuvring heavy equipment.
