### Job overview

- Provide operational and professional leadership for AHP’s working within Parkview CAMHS Inpatient Services and, as the role develops, across wider CAMHS services within Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust.
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of the AHP workforce within Parkview, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, high-quality, person-centred services
- Provide professional leadership, support workforce development, and ensure the integration and visibility of AHP’s within multidisciplinary teams.
- Support and contribute strategically to the development of AHP practice across CAMHS services, supporting the implementation of Trust and national priorities.
- To ensure practice meets the requirements of regulatory bodies.
- To support the involvement of AHP practitioners in those issues relating to quality improvement, care pathway development and clinical governance.
- To use advanced clinical reasoning skills and a commitment to implementing evidence-based practice.
- To support the continuing development of AHPs within CAMHS health services and to ensure effective workforce development.To take a leading role in recruitment of AHP staff in Parkview and the wider CAMHS services as required.
- To ensure AHP student placements are developed and provided within CAMHS services, to meet national directives.

- Must have masters or equivalent in an AHP profession e.g. OT/SLT/PT/Dietetics, etc
- Must be registered with Health Professions Council (HPC)
- Must demonstrate evidence of successful completion of specialist postgraduate courses
- Must demonstrate evidence of formal/informal management and leadership training or management and leadership skills obtained through experience
- Must show evidence of ongoing attendance of short, study days, conferences and extended self-study
- Must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills
- Must be able to communicate information that is highly complex and contentious to clients, staff, senior managers and other agencies/professional groups, for example, explaining implications of shortfall in service.
- Must demonstrate highly developed negotiation and problem-solving skills in complex situations and ability to facilitate these skills in others
- Must demonstrate established conflict management skills in a variety of environments e.g. one-to-one or groups where responses may be unpredictable
- Must demonstrate highly developed ability to adapt and communicate information according to the needs of the client and wider audience e.g. in situations where clinical information may be distressing or sensitive
- Must show evidence of excellent presentation skills, both written and verbal, to audiences that could differ in number and knowledge
