The successful candidate will work primarily  with babies, children and young people with complex tracheostomy and long-term ventilation needs, in both an inpatient and out-patient capacity. There will also be opportunities to work more generally across the wards with patients with complex dysphagia and communication needs. We are interested in receiving applications from qualified SLTs who have the relevant  knowledge and experience for this role, either due to having already worked with paediatrics in this specialist area or those of you with transferable skills due to prior adult experience. The post, based at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, involves working in the acute setting on the wards, including the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and in outpatient clinics.
