The aim of this post is to bring about greater access for research in order to provide a unique and enviable framework to enhance delivery of world class research. As an Advanced Research Nurse, you will be responsible for supporting the senior management team in ensuring that our service users’ needs are met through the delivery of high-quality care. As a centre of excellence, you will offer a person-centred approach to their independence and well-being. You will be working mainly at the CCC Liverpool site. This will be a pan-haematology trials post working exclusively in the fields of early phase, CAR T and stem cell studies. We’re here to deliver the best cancer care to the people we serve and we’re looking for applications from those who share that commitment and our values. ### Main duties of the job The Primary aim of this post is to bring about greater access for research in order to provide a unique and enviable framework to enhance delivery of world class research. The post holder will be a Registered General Nurse and must maintain an NMC registration. The successful candidate will act as an advanced autonomous practitioner, supporting patients on Commercial and Experimental Cancer Medicines (ECMC) clinical trials. In doing so will demonstrate a high level of practice and knowledge, working as a key member of the multi- disciplinary team providing professional and clinical support in the care of patients on clinical trials. The Advanced Nurse Practitioner will provide expert care and treatment to patients within agreed trials protocol and clinical guidelines. Functions in a variety of role dimensions: health care provider, educator, supervisor to junior staff, researcher, auditor, clinical advocate and implementer of research and clinical governance. The post holder is employed and managed by Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, but may be required to travel across a number of NHS trusts within Merseyside and Cheshire. Employees must be aware of and accept the requirement to work at other sites across the Clinical Network within reason.
