An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Public Health Practitioner to join the Health Improvement Team within Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership.

This role forms part of an ambitious programme to strengthen prevention and health improvement capacity across Aberdeen City. Working alongside the Prevention Lead and wider public health team, you will play a key role in planning, developing, implementing and evaluating evidence-based prevention programmes that improve population health and reduce health inequalities.

You will lead and coordinate a portfolio of strategic public health work, working collaboratively with colleagues across Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership, NHS Grampian, Aberdeen City Council, Community Planning Aberdeen and the third sector. The role will also provide professional leadership within the Health Improvement Team, including line management responsibilities, while supporting the development of innovative, whole-system approaches to prevention.

The successful candidate will possess a relevant degree together with postgraduate qualification at Master's level in Public Health (or equivalent experience), alongside substantial experience of leading public health or health improvement programmes. You will have excellent analytical, project management and partnership working skills, with the ability to interpret evidence, influence strategic decision-making and translate national policy into effective local delivery.

You will be an effective communicator, able to build productive relationships across organisational boundaries, facilitate multi-agency partnerships and confidently present complex information to a wide range of audiences. Experience of staff management, service development and securing stakeholder engagement will be essential.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced public health professional who is passionate about prevention, tackling health inequalities and shaping the future of public health delivery within Aberdeen City.

Ability and willingness to travel throughout Aberdeen as required, is essential for this post.
