The Role

- As part of a multi-disciplinary/agency team, the post holder will manage a defined caseload, using evidence based practice to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
- To deliver comprehensive, highly specialist Speech and Language Therapy services to clients with a variety of communication difficulties and/or eating/drinking/swallowing difficulties.
- This service will be delivered in a variety of settings.
- The post holder is expected to have high level clinical skills, knowledge and experience across a broad spectrum of complex diagnoses and aetiologies.
- Duties and location may vary depending on the client group/aspect and demands of the service/level of experience.

In this key role, you will:

- All clinical decision making will be based on the Care Aims philosophy utilising the Care Aims model which will ensure that risk, impact and clinical need are articulated, outcomes evaluated through continuous reflection.
- To provide clinical support to less experienced Speech and Language Therapists within their highly specialised area.
- To comply with RCSLT and HCPC professional standards and rules for professional conduct.
- Responsible for personal and professional development in line with Speech and Language Therapy supervision systems, PDP planning and KSF activities in order to meet the standards of the Health Care Professions Council and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.

What You'll Bring:

- Registered Speech and Language Therapist with valid HCPC Registration.
- Educated to/working towards/operating at Masters Level.
- Post graduate expertise within speciality/area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safely, effectively and efficiently.
- Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality.
- A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
