Hereford County Hospital is a busy district general hospital serving the population of Herefordshire, Powys and parts of Shropshire. We currently have vacancies within our team in Radiology for an experienced advanced practitioner radiographer to join our friendly team.  This is a unique opportunity to join our existing team of advanced practitioner radiographers in plain film reporting.

The Radiology department in Hereford has undergone significant changes over the last 7 years since entering into a partnership with Philips and you will have the opportunity to work with  up to date technology.

This post offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of our Community Treatment and Diagnostic Centre, due to open in September 2025 in Hereford.

The Community Diagnostic Centre will incorporate Imaging (Plain X-ray, ultrasound, CT and MRI), a range of cardiorespiratory investigations  and pathology services in a "one stop" location to obtain diagnostic information.

Successful candidates will work at the Hereford County Hospital site  in rotation between the hospital site and our CDC site which will open in 2025 and be expected to support in 24/7 cover for the department.

To undertake appendicular and axial image reporting on own initiative as appropriate to ensure a smooth and efficient reporting service. The post holder will ensure the provision of the highest standards of practice and patient care, in accordance with standards, procedures and protocols.

To contribute to the delivery of a high quality Radiology Service across the Trust including service re-design and development of the Radiology Department.

## Person Specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- Minimum of 3 years experience in general radiography
- Evidence of working across multidisciplinary team

**Desirable**

- Experience of decision making at a senior level

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- B Sc Diagnostic Radiography Degree or equivalent
- Post graduate qualification in MSK reporting (appendicular and axial)
- HCPC Registration

**Desirable**

- Cannulation Certificate
- Post Graduate Certificate in Chest Reporting

### Knowledge and Skills

**Essential**

- Knowledge of PACS and RIS systems
- Ability to prioritise and work well under pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to support teaching of student radiographers/registrars and other clinical staff
