This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician with exceptional communication and influencing skills to contribute to a dynamic, forward‑thinking MDT. You will lead and deliver advanced dietetic care for adults with suspected and confirmed food allergy, including specialist assessment, diagnosis, management, and support for open food challenges and reintroduction programmes. You will provide expert advice to the MDT, contribute to weekly case‑based discussions, and receive supervision from a Consultant Immunologist. As an Advanced Practitioner, you will lead the Adult Allergy Dietetic Service, line‑manage staff, drive quality improvement, and provide clinical, operational, and strategic leadership. You will deliver specialist education, maintain up‑to‑date expertise, support multidisciplinary learning, and take responsibility for your own advanced professional development. You will also lead research and audit activity, contribute to regional and national initiatives, and help shape evidence‑based policies and pathways across the Trust. This role offers the chance to shape the future of adult allergy services within a nationally recognised team. ### Main duties of the job Clinical Practice - Deliver an advanced dietetic clinic for new GP referrals with suspected food allergy or hypersensitivity. - Lead assessment, investigation, diagnosis, and management for patients requiring specialist dietetic input. - Provide tailored dietary avoidance strategies, lifestyle advice, and long‑term management plans. - Support hospital‑based open food challenges and home reintroduction programmes. - Attend weekly MDT meetings, presenting patients for discussion and decision‑making. - Receive clinical supervision from a Consultant Immunologist within a collaborative MDT. Can demonstrate evidence of continued professional development (CPD) e.g. keeps a professional portfolio, Peer reviewed publications, presentations - Evidence of involvement in policy, guideline and protocol development and implementation and ability to influence service changes - Significant experience in specialist or practitioner post at band 7 with knowledge and skills that can be accredited or mapped against the criteria of this role - Experience managing own caseload of patients and autonomous practice - Experience in QI, Audit and research development - Experience of teaching, assessing and mentoring of learners - Proven line manager experience **Desirable** - Lead role in QI, Audit or Research projects -
