We have 1 Full time post in the Spinal MSK service, 1 Full time post in the Peripheral service and an additional 0.5 Part time post in the Peripheral MSK service. The role involves assessing and treating patients with spinal and/or peripheral conditions and you will work with other APP’s in managing both First Contact Primary Care and Specialist Secondary Care services. The APP team, established in 1991, are supported by an MDT including General Practitioners, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons, Consultants in Sport and Exercise Medicine, Orthopaedic Physicians and a Pain Management Service. To act as the clinical lead in Peripheral and/or Spinal Musculoskeletal assessment and treatment for Physiotherapy Services, and to work with, promote and actively develop the service in conjunction with the Multidisciplinary Team and Head of Therapy Services. ### Main duties of the job Provide autonomous advanced assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with peripheral/spinal pain working in an Advanced Practice role with the authority to order further investigations such as blood tests and x-rays. Act as a source of expertise on the management of peripheral/spinal pathology to Primary Health Care professionals, Consultants, Senior Physiotherapists, and other Health Care Professionals.
