An opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced registered nurse to join the team in the radiotherapy department at the North Wales Cancer Treatment Centre.

You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support patients receiving radiotherapy treatment, offering evidence based care to provide a patient focussed service.

We are seeking a dynamic, capable person with a passion for patient care. You will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience of managing your own patient workload.

The radiotherapy department delivers approximately 1900 courses of radiotherapy per year. Previous experience of working within an oncology environment would be advantageous.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

### Main duties of the job

- The post holder will demonstrate effective leadership and provide expert clinical and oncology advice and support to patients, carers and healthcare professionals. Furthermore, they will demonstrate excellent communication and maintain clinical excellence underpinned by evidenced based practice collaborating within the multi-disciplinary teams, referring patients as appropriate to provide a patient focused service.

- The post holder will co-ordinate care with the multi-disciplinary team for patients receiving Radiotherapy.

- The Advanced Nurse Practitioner will exercise higher levels of judgement, discretion and decision-making in clinical care, in relation to the management of patients diagnosed within the given speciality, their carers and professionals involved in their care.

- The Advanced Nurse Practitioner is an autonomous practitioner and has the freedom to act to influence patient care and service provision.

- Within the designated speciality, the post holder will provide patient-centred clinical care. This will encompass the skills of advanced clinical assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment within an agreed scope of practice throughout the directorate. They will order investigations and prescribe medications within the capacity of non-medical prescribing as appropriate.

### Qualifications

- BSc/ grad diploma in relevant discipline
- MSc in advanced clinical practice or working towards within 2 years of employment
- Non-Medical Prescribing Competency or working towards within 2 years of employment

- Teaching and or assessment qualification
