We are delighted to advertise an exciting opportunity for an aspiring Adult or Paediatric Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Emergency Department at Bradford Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust and to expand our existing ACP workforce. At BTHFT we recognise that ACPs are an integral part of the NHS workforce in the 21st century as they provide flexibility and new ways of working and we are looking to appoint qualified ACPs with a passion to providing the highest standard of clinical expertise and autonomous practice in one of the fastest growing and busiest emergency departments in the country.

### Main duties of the job

There has been major investment in the ACP workforce at BTHFT including Urgent Care to improve performance and to ensure patients a provided with a positive experience when requiring our care. We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic practitioner ideally with experience working in a Pediatric or adult Emergency Department setting who will provide holistic, personalised care and will take pride in caring for our community of Bradford. The ACP will be a member of a fantastic, well established and efficient team providing strong leadership to members of the multi-disciplinary team. They will deliver quality care and a faster response to patient needs resulting in better outcomes.

### Applicant requirements

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

- Documented evidence of completion of generic advanced practice competencies and a defined range of specialty competencies
- Understanding of Information Governance and Confidentiality
- Ability to motivate individuals and teams
- High standard of oral and written communication skills and confidence to discuss patient management with other members of the MDT
- High level of capability using outcome measures and audit
- Confidence and ability to accurately assess and manage complex patient presentations to a high professional standard
- Ability to critique own practice
- In-depth knowledge in their specialist clinical field
- Ability to manage time and workload effectively and to work in a high pressure environment
- Excellent liaison and negotiation skills
- Commitment to staff development and training Self-motivated and able to work independently and autonomously both within the trust and with partner organisations

### Education & Qualifications

**Essential**

- Registered with relevant professional body
- Degree level registration qualification or equivalent post-registration award
- MSc in Advanced Practice
- Non-medical independent prescribing

**Desirable**

- Paediatric Advanced Life Support provider
- Relevant teaching qualification
- Experience of working within an Emergency Department
