## Job Content

### Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioner to work within Adult Mental Health Psychology & Psychological Services.   This is a permanent position, and the post holder will be based in South Gwynedd. The post holder will be responsible for providing direct clinical input to service users as well as offering training and supervision to MDT colleagues.

The post holder will also benefit from BCUHB wide links across the North Wales within BCUHB AMH Clinical Psychology & Psychological Therapy services, with opportunity for clinical networking across North Wales.  They will be well supported, mentored, and managed within the service with the opportunity for ongoing peer support and supervision.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

### Main duties of the job

We are looking to recruit an Advanced Clinical Practitioner with a core clinical profession (e.g. Counsellor/Mental Health Nurse / Social Worker / Psychotherapist) who has mental health clinical experience working with adults who have experienced trauma. The post holder will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of nationally agreed clinical pathways and interventions for adults. The post holder will support staff and supervision structures, developing a training strategy, treatment models, and implementing a range of methods for evaluation of BCUHB services. They will be responsible for delivering this through provision of comprehensive evidence-based advice, treatment and training, and consultation.  Another focus of the work will be on service-development components. The post holder will work as part of an MDT, have excellent networking skills across different sectors, and be interested in developing evidenced-based resources and training packages.  The post holder will need to work autonomously within professional guidelines and will work closely with stakeholders, including service users, carers and community and voluntary organisations to ensure the effective delivery of the initiative.
