This role sits within an integrated system across two major NHS trusts, delivering services across multiple sites and working closely with community, primary care, and wider partners to improve outcomes for children and young people. The service prioritises children and young people with complex needs and those from underserved populations.  This is an exciting post within a developing organisation, providing the chance to influence service delivery, improve patient experience and support innovative approaches to paediatric asthma care across the region. ### Main duties of the job - The Asthma Clinical Nurse Specialist is responsible for delivering and developing specialist asthma services for children and young people, ensuring care aligns with national guidelines and standards. - The role involves autonomous management of a specialist caseload, including children with complex, severe or high-risk asthma. - The post holder undertakes advanced clinical assessments, develops personalised management plans, and coordinates care across acute, community and primary care settings. - A key aspect of the role is improving outcomes and reducing variation in asthma care, particularly for underserved and high-risk populations.
