We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Advance Practice Therapeutic Radiographer to join our friendly, dynamic team, delivering exceptional patient-centred care.

You will have substantial clinical experience, a strong understanding of advanced radiotherapy techniques, & the ability to work autonomously while managing competing priorities. A commitment to high standards of patient care, professionalism & service improvement is essential.

The role is primarily based at the OUH Radiotherapy Centre in Milton Keynes, with regular cross-site working at our Oxford centre. This provides excellent opportunities for professional development & collaboration within the wider radiotherapy team.

You will support the Milton Keynes pre-treatment & treatment teams as required, helping to deliver a seamless patient experience.

OUH Radiotherapy@Milton Keynes reflects Oxford University Hospitals’ commitment to providing high-quality cancer care closer to home. The centre is equipped with a Siemens CT Simulator & Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator, with planned future service expansion.

Approx. 60% of radiotherapy patients from Milton Keynes are treated locally, while those requiring specialist treatments, like SRS, receive care at our Oxford centre, offering the opportunity to work within a satellite service while remaining connected to a leading regional cancer centre.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to an ambitious and forward-thinking service while supporting patients.

### Main duties of the job

In this patient-facing role, you will act as an expert resource for radiotherapy-specific information and support, helping patients navigate their treatment and access holistic care, including appropriate referrals to specialist services. You will also be responsible for conducting radiotherapy treatment reviews.

In addition to supporting radiotherapy patients at OUH radiotherapy @ Milton Keynes, you will play a key role in strengthening links between the Oxford Cancer Centre Radiotherapy Department and our external oncology clinics, including those at:

- Milton Keynes University Hospital
- Horton General Hospital, Banbury
- Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury
- Wycombe General Hospital, High Wycombe

### Experience

**Essential**

- Previous NHS experience in Radiotherapy
- Significant senior experience working clinically as a Therapeutic Radiographer, having experience of caring for patients with a broad range of cancers.
- Experience working within a treatment review role
- Team management experience
- Participation in radiotherapy development work

**Desirable**

- Participation in the implementation of a change in practice
- Participation in research
- Previous experience of information giving

### Education/Qualifications

**Essential**

- HCPC registration
- BSc Radiotherapy
- Radiotherapy Treatment Review experience
- Evidence of relevant CPD (continuing professional development)
- Post graduate qualifications or experience/skills gained on the job equivalent to Masters degree level

**Desirable**

- Radiotherapy Treatment Review qualification
- Independent or supplementary prescribing qualification
- Counselling qualification
- Advanced communication skills qualification
- Masters’ Degree
