We are a dedicated team of compassionate and skilled professionals looking for a new member of our senior nursing team. You will bring clinical expertise, leadership experience and a practical understanding of what excellent quality care looks like. D703 is a purpose-built, 25 bedded, combined adult Haematology and Stem Cell Transplant Unit. We specialise in stem cell transplants for which we have 7 specialist ventilation rooms. Providing expert care and treatment for patients with malignant and non-malignant haematological conditions, including lymphoma, leukaemia and myeloma, as well as sickle cell disease. The patients are supported by a team of expert clinical nurse specialists, a vast multidisciplinary team, and the bone marrow coordination team. As a teaching and learning Foundation Trust, the unit offers education and training via dedicated clinical educators who support the unit. We encourage a nurse led focus and offer a wide range of training opportunities to provide our nurses with the knowledge and confidence. We are pioneers of ground-breaking treatments like  CAR-T therapy and Bispecifics for which the team won a Recognising Success award, and conduct cancer research. ### Main duties of the job The successful candidate should have significant experience in a relevant specialism. You will be expected to work the full range of shifts including long days, night shifts, shorter shifts and weekends. The applicant must be able to: - Assess, plan, implement and evaluate evidence based, individualised patient care. - Carry out planned care for a group of patients without direct supervision. - Manage patient care according to agreed policies and protocols, taking appropriate action, seeking advice from other members of the multi-disciplinary team as necessary.
