Are you an experienced admin individual seeking a new role in mental health?

We are seeking an Administrator to work part time as part of the Community CAMHS Administration team to provide an effective, comprehensive and confidential administrative service which may include the following tasks.

This is a varied admin role in a fast paced team, where you will work flexibly to support a wide range of professionals in CAMHS as well as being a first point of contact for the public and patients.

### Main duties of the job

- Provide an efficient and effective comprehensive administrative support to the team/service.
- Provide a polite and efficient reception service to patients and visitors.
- Accurately type and distribute letters and other documents as required.
- Provide admin and secretarial support to team members and for meetings - including minute/note taking.
- Respond to email, telephone enquiries and written enquiries using a high level of initiative and responding in a confidential and sensitive way and action in the appropriate way.
- Update patient records as required and ensure that the Trust’s databases are up to date and all clinical data is entered appropriately

### Applicant requirements

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.

### Knowledge

**Essential**

- Excellent computer skills with good knowledge and experience of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and MS Teams

**Desirable**

- Safeguarding knowledge of mental health issues Understanding of Data Protection/Information Governance

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience of working in an office environment, including telephone contact with both clients and professionals
- Previous experience of working in a reception or client facing role

**Desirable**

- Experience of using healthcare patient record systems e.g. RIO
- Previous NHS experience
- Experience of working in healthcare administration or public sector administration

### Personal Qualities

**Essential**

- Able to communicate effectively with different audiences, including patients, their relatives, professionals and colleagues
- Excellent telephone manner and professional approach
- Able to work effectively within a team environment
- Customer focused approach Willingness to be flexible

### Contractual Requirements

**Essential**

- Able to work flexibly across other teams, if required

**Desirable**

- Able to travel independently between sites, if required

### Qualifications - Academic/Skills/Professional

**Essential**

- Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent, including English and Maths, Grade C or above

**Desirable**

- RSA in typing or similar, or previous experience of general administrative functions

### Further Training or Job-Related Aptitude and Skills

**Essential**

- Good interpersonal skills, face to face and telephone manner
- Good keyboard skills
- Understanding of the need for confidentiality
- Able to work under limited supervision

**Desirable**

- Ability to produce good quality correspondence and reports
