The NHSP administrator (post holder) will be responsible for the provision of a comprehensive administrative service to the NHSP team by means of data inputting, data quality, developing and maintaining in-house office systems while demonstrating a high level of concentration, attention to detail and multitasking skills.

The post holder will be responsible for undertaking patient/client related duties, such as dealing with queries, booking appointments and sending out appropriate communication. Duties and key responsibilities will include performing daily, routine and ad hoc departmental tasks as required by management and respond to the needs of clients in a caring and empathetic manner while demonstrating a calm and patient demeanour at all times.

The post holder will have shared responsibility of the broad use of specialised NHSP national database – SMaRT4Hearing (S4H) and of hospital electronic systems such as Cerner EPR (Electronic Patient Record), SMaRT4Hearing (S4H), BadgerNet, access RiO EPR and Oracle SBS I-Procurement along with Microsoft Office applications to enable the smooth running of the programme.

### Knowledge

**Essential**

- Knowledge/understanding of confidentiality issues
- Understanding of Data Protection Act

**Desirable**

- Knowledge of medical terminology, especially those used within the NHS

### Experience

**Essential**

- Demonstrable experience of customer care or office administration
- Experience of working as part of a team, ideally in an office environment

**Desirable**

- Previous NHS experience

### Skills/ Abilities

- Ability to build rapport and to work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a flexible manner to enable the service to run efficiently
