### Job overview

Provide a comprehensive administrative service to one or more Consultants, their Medical Team, Consultant Biomedical Scientists and Senior Management Team, this includes but is not limited  to dealing with incoming and outgoing correspondence, administering multidisciplinary meetings, and uploading and downloading reports.

Responsible for supporting the tracking of patients within Histopathology and/or Cytology, identifying long waiting patients and progressing these to ensure all national and local targets are met and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met.

Collect and record a wide range of data and will work collaboratively with clinical teams, to ensure patients are progressed in a timely manner.

Utilising the Trust IT systems to access data and external systems, including Hive, as well as other identified data platforms, to record all information on patient tracking.

Identify best practice and develop working practice for the Consultant and Senior Management Team, to deliver an efficient and effective administration service.

Prioritise and organise their workload with the Team Leader and/or Administration Manager to ensure that an efficient and effective service is provided.

Act as first point of contact for all forms of communication for the Consultant and their team.

### Main duties of the job

- To be provide support for preparation of both weekly and daily Multi-Disciplinary Team Meetings, ensuring that all meeting documentation is available at the time of discussion,  along with the obtaining of images and slides as and when required from both internal and external sources and in a timely manner.
- Exercise acquired knowledge and independent judgement to deal with enquiries.
- Schedule meetings and appointments as directed by Consultant staff and/or Senior Management Team.
- Arrange departmental and Consultant meetings, type agendas and be responsible for accurate minute taking.  Circulate and distribute documents to staff as necessary.
- Ensure all travel arrangements are in place for meetings/courses/conferences for Consultants/CBMS staff.
- Prepare and distribute material needed for courses, seminars/ conferences, and meetings for educational purposes.
- Process study/professional, annual leave and additional activity requests ensuring all expenses and additional payments are reimbursed to consultant medical and technical staff.
