An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administrative Assistant – Reception/Admin Support based at the Northern centre for Cancer care - North Cumbria, Carlisle

Working on one of the 2 Receptions with NCCC-NC.

Hospital site Carlisle

### Main duties of the job

- Deal with telephone enquires promptly.
- Communicate with patients regarding appointments/transport bookings
- Make Oncology Review Appointments for patients leaving Oncology Outpatients
- Issuing  concessionary parking permits
- Liaising with NCIC estates on issue contractors passes & keys and parking permits
- General reception Meet & Greet duties
- Working within a team of administrative staff supporting the provision of an efficient Administrative support service to the wider Oncology team in NCCC-NC
- Uploading into Patient Record system – E-record

### Skills & Abilities

**Essential**

- Good IT skills to include office software packages
- Good keyboard skills and Text Processing ability
- Good communication skills both written verbal and telephone skills
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Ability to be flexible and work as part of a team
- Understanding of confidentiality issues

### Knowledge & Experience

**Desirable**

- Previous work experience
- Understanding of medical terminology

### Qualifications & Education

**Essential**

- Minimum of 4 GCSEs, Level A - C, including English Language, or equivalent level qualification or relevant experience
- OCR I or NVQ L2 Business & Administration or equivalent qualification / experience
