### Job summary

We are looking for an Administration Support Officer to join our team! You will join our Podiatry team, supporting patients to optimise their experience.

### Main duties of the job

You will support optimisation of clinical diaries through following the administrative standard operating procedures. This will include:

- Answering calls
- Responding to patient queries
- Booking appointments
- Sending out appropriate patient communication
- Registering referrals.

You will be required to work in our electronic notes system (EMIS) and your role will involve adding appropriate documentation to patient records.

Depending on service need, you may also cover reception duties which will include meeting and greeting patients and visitors.

Other responsibilities may include ordering stationery and supplies, being a fire warden, and making room bookings.

### Experience

**Essential**

- Administration work relevant to the position applied for
- Customer/client interaction
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently and professionally face to face and over the telephone with a variety of people
- Good level of IT literacy
- Experience of working in an office environment dealing with correspondence, filing, photocopying and routine administrative work.

**Desirable**

- Experience working in a health/social care or service oriented organisation

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- NVQ 2 in Administration or equivalent experience
- Numeracy and Literacy level 1 qualification or equivalent demonstrable skills.
