Priory Hospital Lincolnshire£13.45 per hour Full time - 37.5 hours per weekPriory Hospital Lincolnshire has an opportunity for an Activities Co-ordinator to to join our team.Located in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, Priory Hospital Lincolnshire is a low secure unit for males with mental health conditions. It offers support to those who are detained under the Mental Health Act (MHA).\]

### What you'll be doing

- Deliver meaningful 1:1 and group activities to enhance patient’s wellbeing, independence, community participation and quality of life in line with prescribed care plans (including OT care plans) and risk assessment
- Undertake risk assessment of activities in discussion with senior colleagues and line manager.
- Create weekly activity timetables that provide both structure and flexibility for patients within an inpatient hospital. Activities should support cognitive, physical, and emotional needs, align with patients individualised recovery goals and focus on meaningful leisure, recreational and social activities.
- Planned activities will compliment those therapeutic activities encompassed within a patients care. Therapy remains a priority of engagement.

## Person Specification

### What you'll bring to the role

**Essential**

- GCSEs (A–C) or equivalent/NVQ Level 2
- Full UK driving licence (essential to drive the hospital vehicle).
- Experience in a clinical, healthcare, therapeutic or support environment.
- Excellent communication, observational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships and confidently facilitate group activities.
- A compassionate, patient-centred approach with a commitment to safeguarding.
- Experience supporting individuals with mental health needs or within an inpatient setting.
- Planning and delivering meaningful recreational or therapeutic activities.
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience maintaining accurate records and contributing to care documentation.
- Knowledge of person-centred care and recovery-focused approaches.
- Confidence organising community-based activities and social events.
