For those preferring an on‑site environment, a dedicated coding office is available at Torbay Hospital. ### Main duties of the job As an Accredited Clinical Coder you will have experience of coding a variety of specialties  within an acute NHS organisation. You will have a flexible and adaptable approach to work  supporting the provision of high quality, accurate and timely coded clinical data through effective extraction and analysis of complex clinical information, independent judgement in the interpretation and sequencing of clinical data, adhering to national clinical coding standards, rules and conventions, to ensure the Trust data is accurate and robust. The Clinical Coding Team is responsible for the extraction and translation of inpatient Clinical information using the ICD-10 and OPCS-4 Coding Classifications. This information is essential for the effective management of the Trust and crucial to the National Tariff Payment System that underpins Trust income.
