### Job overview

We are looking for a reliable and compassionate individual to join the Patients’ Bank team at Roseberry Park Hospital.

This full-time role provides an important cashiering service for service users and staff, helping to ensure patients’ financial transactions are recorded accurately and handled with care. You will update patient financial records on a computerised system, support communication with clinical areas, and liaise with external agencies such as the Department for Work and Pensions, Benefits Agency and Financial Protection Team.

The role will also include working at least one day per week at Flatts Lane Centre, supporting the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams.

You must have the Right to Work in the UK in order to be successfully appointed to this role. Please note, this role does not meet the required eligibility criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa and therefore the Trust is unable to offer sponsorship for this particular role.

### Main duties of the job

As part of the Financial Control Department, you will provide valued clerical and administrative support to help maintain effective financial systems and services.

You will deliver a daily cashiering service for service users and staff, ensuring all transactions are dealt with accurately, professionally and sensitively.

You will maintain accurate patient personal and financial records on the computerised financial ledger system, including timely updates for new admissions, discharges and deceased patients. You will also communicate clearly with wards and patient areas to support smooth day-to-day processes.

A key part of the role is the safe recording and safekeeping of patient valuables, requiring attention to detail, discretion and a respectful approach.

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The post holder will work within the Financial Control Department, providing a range of clerical and administrative support while acting at all times in the best interests of patients, staff and the Trust. The role is based across Roseberry Park Hospital in Middlesbrough and Flatts Lane Centre in Normanby.

### Applicant requirements

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.

- Numerate and computer literate with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook and Word

- Basic accounting procedures i.e. double entry

- Experience of Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials system
