An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced individual to join the Outpatient Access Team as an Outpatient Elective Access Team Leader on a secondment basis. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day leadership and operational management of the Outpatient Elective Access Team, ensuring patients on elective pathways are managed efficiently and in line with Referral to Treatment (RTT) and national performance standards. You will play a key role in supporting service delivery, improving patient access, and ensuring high-quality administrative processes across elective services.

We are looking for an individual who:

- Has experience of elective pathway management and RTT rules.
- Previous experience in a Operational Team Leader role
- Demonstrates strong leadership and people management skills.
- Has excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Possesses strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Is confident analysing data and producing performance information.
- Can work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Has a good understanding of NHS operational processes and performance targets.

### Main duties of the job

To operationally lead Department’s departmental/division’s systems: recruitment and selection, staffing Admin team.

- Responsibility for daily management of staff ensuring effective administrative running of the service in terms of both systems and equipment: implementation and maintenance of office/related issues.
- Using initiative to ensure patients are booked in line with local and national access targets.
- To work in the Access Team environment supporting the Elective Access manager
- The role offers exposure to: Service and performance management. Team leadership and workforce management. Elective recovery and transformation programmes.
