This is an exciting opportunity to join senior clinical leadership across the PICT and SUN Teams, part of Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust community provision for people with a diagnosis or difficulties associated with Personality Disorder. The postholder will play a pivotal role in providing psychologically informed and relational practice across the PICT and SUN services through the provision of clinical supervision, psychologically informed consultation, workforce development and co-produced service delivery.

This role is open for both full time and part time (including Tuesday and Thursday).

SUN is a model of facilitated group peer support and community activities, based on therapeutic community principles for people experiencing emotional and relational difficulties. It is a partnership service provided by SABP and Mary Frances Trust, a local, well-established Third Sector Organisation. PICT is a co-produced team that provides expert psychologically informed consultation and training across the Trust and to external organisations on working effectively with people with a diagnosis or traits of personality disorder. This includes KUF (Knowledge and Understanding Framework) Training. If you are invited for the interview, as part of the interview process there are psychometric assessments to be completed before the interview (remotely). On the day, you will complete an in-tray exercise before the interview.

Key Responsibilities

- To be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of clinical work and care.
- To maintain high standards of care in all areas of practice in accordance with the HCPC Code of Conduct, professional guidelines and Trust Policies and Procedures.
- To act within the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act (2005).
- To be aware of and implement Safeguarding Adult and Child Protection Policies, Procedures and legislation.
- To be responsible for the professional leadership and continued development of a team and/or service area.
- To lead on the supervision, Individual Performance Review/Appraisal and line management of staff, as required.
- To ensure that the healthcare needs of people using services are communicated to and work in partnership with service commissioners and other healthcare providers for the best outcomes.
- To positively contribute to Trust and divisional developments in relation to psychological practice.

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Additional Responsibilities PICT

- To deliver a co-produced service and work alongside colleagues with lived experience of difficulties associated with a diagnosis of personality disorder.
- To provide highly expert consultation in the area of personality disorder.
- Co-deliver specialist personality disorder training alongside a trainer with lived experience across SABP and to external organisations.
- Develop new training content in line with the national evidence base.
- To line manage and supervise one of the PICT trainers with lived experience.
- Support psychologically informed systems in the area of personality disorder.
- Support recruitment and development of lived experience staff.
- To cover supervision and line management of lived experience practitioners.
- To support the 8C Consultant Clinical Psychologist in the delivery of the PICT service
- To provide leadership in the integration of PICT into the 13 Neighbourhood Mental Health Teams across SABP.

Additional Responsibilities SUN

- To co-lead weekly model-adherent clinical supervision to clinicians and facilitators with lived experience, facilitating the SUN Groups.
- Support the service manager and Consultant Clinical Psychologist, service lead with clinical governance and risk management in line with the SUN model and therapeutic community principles.
- Adhere to and maintain Enabling Environments standards and accreditation.
- To engage in partnership and strategic relations with our partnership organisation Mary Frances Trust, as part of the SUN senior management team.
- To contribute to providing senior cover for SUN for urgent clinical or operational issues that may arise during the day.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

## Person Specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- Extensive post qualification clinical experience in the area of personality disorder.
- Extensive experience providing specialist consultation advising other professionals on complex psychological issues and risk
- A high level of expert knowledge and experience of evidence-based interventions in working with personality disorders, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the wider theory, research and models of relevance to the field.
- Experience using trauma-informed, relational and recovery-oriented approaches
- Experience of facilitating group reflective practice

**Desirable**

- Experience of line managing staff with lived experience of personality disorder.
- Experience of working in a therapeutic community setting
- Experience/Training group analysis
- Experience supervising and line managing staff.

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology qualification or equivalent and/or Qualification as an Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist with registration of the BPC or the analytic section (CPJP) of the UKCP as an individual or group psychotherapist.
- Completion of an appropriate clinical supervision course to enable supervision of trainees /staff
- HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologist OR BPC or UKCP (CPJP section) Psychotherapist

- Completion of an appropriate clinical supervision course to enable supervision of trainees
