This is an exciting time at Barnsley Hospital with the recent implementation of electronic prescribing bringing excellent opportunities for further innovation and service development. We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and forward-thinking registered pharmacy technician to take on the role of Band 4 Rotational Pharmacy Technician. Rotations will include: Inpatient and Outpatient dispensaries, Aseptics and ward-based Medicines Management Services. ### Main duties of the job You will be responsible for carrying out a range of Technical duties in specified areas of the department. Opportunities will be available to support and develop your career pathway. The department has a strong Quality Improvement ethos and you will have the opportunity to become involved in a variety of QI projects. This is a really exciting time to be joining our dispensary team as we develop ways of further integrating with our patient facing clinical colleagues. This post is full-time and your contracted hours will be worked over 5 days, including participation in the weekend, late night, and bank holiday rotas. Previous experience of working in a hospital is preferred, but not essential. We welcome applications from newly qualified pharmacy technicians as well as those who are currently completing an accredited Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technician course and are expected to achieve General Pharmaceutical Council GPhC registration in the coming months.
