As a Labour Ward Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in leading the day-to-day operational management of the labour ward, ensuring women and families receive safe, compassionate, and effective care. Prepare for future leadership opportunities within maternity services. ### Main duties of the job As the Labour Ward Coordinator, you will: Provide visible clinical and operational leadership across the labour ward. Coordinate the safe running of the unit, balancing activity, capacity, and staffing requirements. Support and lead the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, woman-centred care. Monitor clinical acuity and manage patient flow across maternity services. Escalate risks and concerns appropriately to maintain safety at all times. Lead safety huddles, handovers, and multidisciplinary discussions. Support staff development, wellbeing, and professional growth.
